Christine Gray
This was the first artist I chose to study in Art 2. The reason I chose her was mostly her combination of real world things in a fantasy setting. She specializes in oil paintings to give things a firm look and she puts a lot of detail in to making her work stand out.
My favorite of her pieces is “Vermillion Shed”. I think the of oil and acrylic makes it to the lines are precise and dusty at the same time to make it fit in with the theme of the painting. She manages to make something that could be seen in everyday life look mystical and unreal.

Oliver Jeffers
I really like his work because he adds mathematical equations to make more than just a picture, he also adds a humorous factor by making the people somewhat silly. He makes his brush strokes clear and seeable as to make it less real.
His work also consists of multiple picture books like “This Moose Belongs to Me”. He also participated in a project along with Mac Premo, Duke Riley, and Rory Jeffers called the BOOK. This was a project that was done over a span of 36 weeks and every week the book was sent to each artist would send a reply.
